CRITERIA OF ELIGIBILITY FOR ADMISSION &
SELECTION SCHEDULE
Nationality
Candidates must be Citizens of India/children or
dependents of Non-Resident Indians. The candidates
should also satisfy the conditions prescribed in the
Prospectus.
Age
He/she shall complete the age of 17 years on or before
31st December of the year of admission to the MBBS
Course
Qualification/Academic
- Applicants must meet all the requirements
stipulated by the MCI and Rajiv Gandhi University
of Health Sciences for admission to MBBS course.
- Candidate must have passed in the subjects of
Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English
Individually and must have obtained a minimum
MBBSof 50% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry
and Biology at the qualifying examination as
mentioned in clause(2) regulation 4 of the Graduate
Medical Education Regulation, 1997 of MCI and in
addition must have obtained a minimum marks at
50th percentile in 'National Eligibility-cum-Entrance
Test (NEET UG) conducted by the Central Board of
Secondary Education (CBSE), Delhi. In respect of
candidates belonging to the Scheduled castes,
Scheduled Tribes or other backward classes the
marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry and Biology
taken together in qualifying examination be 40%
instead of 50% and minimum marks obtained in
"National Eligibility-cum- Entrance Test (NEET UG)
shall be at 40th percentile instead of 50th
percentile. In respect of candidates with locomotor
disability of lower limbs terms of Clause 4(3), the
minimum marks shall be at 45th percentile. The
percentile shall be determined by CBSE on the basis
of highest marks secured in the All-India common
merit list in 'National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test for
admission to MBBS course'.
- The eligibility criteria for admission to NRI category
will be as per the orders, if any, of the Government of
Karnataka, the Government of India, the Court of
Law and the Admission Supervisory Committee/Fee
Regulatory Committee.
- Applicants should possess certificate of good conduct
and character issued from the institution last studied.
- Candidates who have passed their qualifying
examination from states other than the State of
Karnataka shall produce the migration certificate
