Events conducted in the month of May

The District Sharana Literature Council and Kadali Women's Forum, Dakshina Kannada, organized a Medical Information Workshop at Stree Shakti Bhavan, BC Road, on 07/05/2025. Dr. Soumya Ashok shared insights about the facilities available at Kanachur Ayurveda Hospital, Natekal, Mangalore. She also highlighted that patients can benefit from Ayurvedic treatment for general health conditions. Dr. Deenamanju educated the attendees about eye and ENT-related conditions and explained how Ayurveda plays a role in their treatment. Patients were informed about the availability of free inpatient (IP) treatment at the hospital.

9TH NATIONAL AYURVEDA DAY CELEBRATION

Kanachur Ayurveda Hospital marked the 9th National Ayurveda Day with a series of events. On October 28, 2024, a free medical camp was held at the District Jail, Mangalore, providing healthcare and free medicines to 105 police personnel. The team, led by Dr. Suresh Neglaguli, Dr. Karthikeya Prasad, Dr. Keshavaraj, and Dr. Charan, also introduced the 'Ayur Raksha Kawach' health card.The celebration continued on October 29, 2024, with a formal event featuring a welcome address by Dr. Karthikeya Prasad, a presidential speech by Director Mr. Abdul Rahiman, and a prize distribution for a drawing competition held for Kanachur PU College for Women students. The event concluded with a vote of thanks from Dr. Suresh Neglaguli, highlighting the success and importance of Ayurveda in modern healthcare.

REPORT - 4 Report On Kargil Vijay Diwas Celebration

On July 26, 2024, Kanachur Ayurveda Hospital, Natekal, Mangalore, celebrated the 25th Kargil Vijay Diwas with the launch of the ‘Ayur Raksha Kawach’ health card. Shri. Abdul Rahiman, Director of Kanachur Islamic Education Trust, introduced the card as a gesture of respect for the Indian armed forces and police. The event began with a welcome address by Dr. Vidhyaprabha R, Principal of the hospital, and included a felicitation of Chief Guest Shri Bellala Gopinath Rao, a retired Army officer. Speeches by dignitaries including Shri Yathish N IPS and Shri. Ganesh Nayak emphasized the card’s importance. Dr. Haji U K Monu, Chairman of the Trust, highlighted its benefits, and Dr. Suresh Negalaguli, Medical Advisor, delivered the Vote of Thanks.

REPORT -3 International Yoga Day Celebration

Kanachur Ayurveda Hospital celebrated International Yoga Day on June 21st at the Kanachur Public School Auditorium. The event commenced with a welcome address by Dr. Vidyaprabha R, Principal of Kanachur Ayurveda Medical College, and a traditional lamp lighting ceremony conducted by Mrs. Karen Trecilla Dsouza and Mrs. Lynette Dsouza. Dr. Suresh Negaluguli, Medical Advisor of Kanachur Ayurveda Medical College, presided over the event, while Dr. Karthikeya Prasad Shet delivered the vote of thanks. Dr. Soumya Ashok served as the Master of Ceremony.
The yoga session was led by Dr. P. Rajesh Chandran and Mrs. Ramya, who guided participants through various yoga postures, pranayama, and meditation practices aimed at promoting holistic wellness. The successful event drew students and staff from various Kanachur institutions, highlighting yoga's role in enhancing physical, mental, and spiritual health.

REPORT – 2 Inauguration of Free Bone Minerals Density Camp

The "Free Bone Mineral Density Check-up Camp," launched on April 26, 2024, at Kanachur Ayurveda Medical College & Hospital, aims to raise osteoporosis awareness among those aged 40 and above. Inaugurated by Dr. Haji U K Monu, Chairman of Kanachur Institute of Medical Sciences, the event featured speeches by Dr. Suresh Negalaguli, highlighting the importance of bone density checks, and Dr. Vidhyaprabha R, expressing gratitude to attendees. Dr. Soumya Kumari served as MC. The camp, in partnership with Medilab India Pvt. Limited, will be held.monthly on the third Tuesday from 9:30 AM to 1:00 PM. The first camp benefited 25 patients, underscoring the message, "Bones are not stones; they weaken with age," and promoting early detection to prevent osteoporosis.

REPORT – 1 Inauguration of Free Medical Health check-Up camp for Women

On March 8, 2024, Kanachur Ayurveda Medical College and Hospital inaugurated its Women’s Day Medical Health Check-Up Camp, focusing on promoting women’s health through free medical consultations. The event began at 9:00 AM, featuring addresses from chief guests Moly Saldanha, Principal of Kanachur Institute of Arts and Sciences; Dr. Haji UK Monu, Chairman of Kanachur Institute of Medical Sciences; and Mr. Abdul Rahiman, Director of the institute. Dr. Vidhya Prabha R, Principal of Kanachur Ayurveda Medical College, delivered the welcome speech, while Dr. Suresh Negalaguli offered the vote of thanks. Dr. Mainaz served as MC, ensuring the event’s smooth execution.

Awareness Talk on accordance with Women's Day Program

On the occasion of Women's Day, an awareness talk on Ayurveda and its various departments was organized at Kanachur Ayurveda Medical College And Hospital. The event aimed to introduce Ayurveda and its clinical departments, treatments, and facilities.
Dr. Saleema Banu M delivered an insightful presentation on Ayurveda and its diverse departments. A general introduction to ayurveda, clinical departments and treatments as per ayurveda and various treatment facilities available at Kanachur Ayurveda hospital were included. The program was followed by a free medical health check-up for women.

Report on Free Medical Camp at KSRTC Depot 2, Mangalore

On March 21, 2025, a free medical camp was held at KSRTC Depot 2, Mangalore, for KSRTC employees. Organized by Kanachur Ayurveda Medical College and Hospital, the camp provided medical care to 68 employees and offered free medicines. Dr. Rajesh, Dr. Neethu, and Dr. Ashwathi, along with RMOs Dr. Sreelakshmi and Dr. Mariya, led the camp, supported by Aghosh (PRO), Akkamahadevi and Krithika (Nursing), Shravya and Rakshitha (MRD), and Preethi (Pharmacy). The event also raised awareness about the KSRTC Arogya cashless insurance scheme.

Report on Free Medical Camp at KSRTC Depot 1, Lalbagh, Mangalore

On March 6, 2025, a free medical camp was held at KSRTC Depot 1, Lalbagh, Mangalore for KSRTC employees. Organized by Kanachur Ayurveda Medical College and Hospital, the camp attended to 69 patients and offered free medicines. The medical team included Dr. Karthikeya Prasad, Dr. Aruna, and Dr. Anjali, supported by RMOs Dr. Meghavathi and Dr. Gayathri. Staff including Aghosh (PRO), Supriya and Rakshitha (Nursing), Shravya and Rakshitha (MRD), and Ifana (Pharmacy) ensured smooth operations. The camp also educated employees about the KSRTC Arogya cashless insurance scheme.

Report on Free Medical Camp at KSRTC Depot 3, Kuntikana, Mangalore

A free medical camp was conducted on 22nd February 2025 at KSRTC Depot 3, Kuntikana, Mangalore, for KSRTC employees. A total of 47 patients received medical care from Dr. Saleema Banu, Dr. Athira S Ravi, and Dr. Deenamanju, with support from Resident Medical Officers Dr. Charan and Dr. Niyana.Nursing staff Amal and Akshay, MRD staff Mouseetha and Rakshitha, and pharmacy staff Ashra contributed to the camp's success. Free medicines were provided, and employees were informed about the KSRTC Arogya cashless insurance scheme at Kanachur Ayurveda Medical College and Hospital.

Report on Free Medical Camp at KSRP, Assaigoli, Mangalore

A free medical camp was organized on 25th and 26th November 2024 at the Karnataka State Reserve Police (KSRP) campus in Assaigoli, Mangalore, benefiting police personnel and their families. The camp provided consultations, free medicines, and GRBs tests.On 25th November, 98 patients were seen by Dr. Suresh, Dr. Karthikeya Prasad, Dr. Keshavaraj, Dr. Soumya, and Dr. Rajesh. On 26th November, 21 patients were attended by Dr. Zainudheen, Dr. Saleema, Dr. Anjali, and Dr. Aruna. Resident Medical Officers Dr. Charan, Dr. Mainaz, Dr. Maria, and Dr. Sreelakshmi ensured smooth operations.Support was provided by nursing staff Titty and Emmy, MRD staff Deeksha, Rahila, and Zohara, pharmacy staff Shravya and Mouseetha, and a lab intern. The camp was a successful initiative, offering essential healthcare to the KSRP community.

Report-11 Medical Camp at Pallamajalu

On October 20, 2024, a free medical camp was held at Pallamajalu from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm, organized by Lions Club, Leo Club Mangalore, and Pallamajalu Sriram Bhaktanjaneya Bhajan Mandir, in collaboration with the Indian Cancer Society, Kanachur Medical College, and Kanachur Ayurveda Hospital. The camp featured a dedicated team from Kanachur Ayurveda, including Dr. Karthikeya Prasad, Dr. Saleema Banu, and Dr. Zainuddin, along with Dr. Meghavathi and Dr. Ann Mariya as the Resident Medical Officers. Support staff included Abiya (PRO), Subi, Anex (Nursing), Zohara (MRD), and Rahila (Pharmacy). A total of 12 patients were treated, with free medicines. The event highlighted the importance of community healthcare and strengthened local support networks.

Report-12 Medical Camp at Sevaa Bhaava Charitable Trust Srevashram

On October 24, 2024, a free medical camp was held for the inmates of Sevaa Bhaava Charitable Trust Srevashram from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm. The medical team, including Dr. Suresh Neglaguli, Dr. Soumya, and Dr. Athira, provided essential care, with Dr. Charan ensuring smooth operations. Hospital staff, including Subi (Nursing), Preeti (MRD) and Shravya (Pharmacy), supported for success of camp. A total of 31 patients received treatment, along with free GRBS tests and medicines. The camp addressed critical healthcare needs, strengthened community trust and highlighted the importance of such outreach initiatives in supporting underserved populations.

Report-13 Medical Camp at District Jail Mangalore

On October 28, 2024, a free medical camp was held at the District Jail in Mangalore from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM. The medical team, including Dr. Karthikeya Prasad, Dr. Suresh Neglaguli, Dr. Keshavaraj, and Dr. Zainudeen, provided essential care, with Dr. Charan ensuring smooth operations. Staff members Jisna (Nursing), Ifana (MRD), and Shravya (Pharmacy) supported the event. A total of 105 patients were treated with free medications. The camp also introduced the 'Ayur Raksha Kawach' health card to promote ongoing health management. This initiative emphasized the importance of accessible healthcare for law enforcement personnel and the community.

Report-15 Medical Camp at Siddakatte.

On September 14, 2024, a free medical camp was organized by Ganesha utsava samithi and held at Palguni complex, Netravati sabhabhavana, Siddakatte.The camp included a dedicated medical team Dr. Aruna C Sekhar, Dr. Athira S Ravi, Dr. Nazira Banu, who attentively addressed the patients' medical needs. Dr. Meghavathi, Dr. Gayathri, Dr. Mubeena served as the Resident Medical Officers, ensuring the camp's smooth operation and high standard of patient care. Supporting the medical team were Abiya (PRO), Titty and Akkamahadevi (Nursing Staff), Mouseetha (MRD), and Ashra (Pharmacy), all of whom played crucial roles in the event's success. A total of 81 patients received medical attention, underscoring the importance of such initiatives in meeting community healthcare needs. The camp also offered free medicines. This event not only provided essential medical services but also strengthened community engagement and support for healthcare efforts in Siddakatte.

Report-13 Medical Camp at Bakrabail, Puthoor

On August 18, 2024, a free medical camp was held at A.U.P School in Bakrabail, Puthoor, from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm. The medical team included Dr. Anjali Sekhar and Dr. Soumyakumari. Dr. Charan served as the Resident Medical Officer. Supporting the medical team were Rasheed (PRO), Titty and Nireeksha (Nursing Staff), Preethi (MRD), and Ashra (Pharmacy. A total of 35 patients received medical attention. The camp also offered free GRBs tests and free medicines.

Report-14 Medical Camp at Kanyana Vitla.

On August 28, 2024, a successful free medical camp was held at Bharath Sevasram in Kanyana, running from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm. Second time the camp has been conducted at Bharath Sevasram. The medical team was led by Dr. Zainuddeen and Dr. Yogesh. Dr. Vismaya and Dr. Mubeena served as the Resident Medical Officers. Supporting the medical team were Amal and Harshita from the Nursing Department. Rahila from the Medical Records Department (MRD) and Zohara from the Pharmacy. The camp successfully catered to 36 patients. The camp also offered free medicines and GRBs tests.

Report-15 Medical Camp at Belma

On August 22, 2024 a free medical camp was held at Sevaa Bhaava Charitable Trust Srevasrama from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm. The medical team, including Dr. Karthikeya Prasad and Dr. Aruna C Sekhar, worked diligently to address the needs of the patients. Dr. Mariya, serving as the Resident Medical Officer, ensured the smooth operation of the camp and quality patient care. The hospital staff—Abiya (PRO), Subi (Nursing Staff), Rakshitha (MRD), and Deeksha (Pharmacy)—provided essential support throughout the event. Their collaborative efforts were instrumental in the camp’s success.A total of 37 patients received medical attention. The camp provided GRBs tests and distributed free medicines.

Report-12 Medical Camp on the occasion of Kargil Vijay Diwas

On July 26, 2024, Kanachur Ayurveda Hospital in Natekal, Mangalore, marked the 25th Kargil Vijay Diwas with a special commemorative event. The highlight was the launch of the ‘Ayur Raksha Kawach’ health card, aimed at enhancing community health. The event also featured a free medical camp, which saw participation from 18 Karnataka State Reserve Police personnel. The camp offered free medicines and GRBs tests.

Report-8 Medical Camp at Belma ,Natekal, Mangalore

On June 2, 2024, a free medical camp took place at Belma Kendra Jumma Masjid, Renjady Natekal, Mangalore, from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm. The camp featured Dr. Aruna C Sekhar, Dr. Zainudheen, Dr. Saleema, Dr. Yogesh, and Dr. Kavya, supported by Dr. Maria and Dr. Simla as Resident Medical Officers. Aleena (Nursing Staff), Asmiya (MRD), and Ashra (Pharmacy) assisted the team. A total of 28 patients received care, and free GRBs tests were offered, highlighting the importance of such community health initiatives.

Report-9 Medical Camp at Kanyana, Vitla

On June 15, 2024, Bharath Sevasram, Kanyana hosted a free medical camp from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm. Dr. Karthikeya Prasad, Dr. Aruna, Dr. Arjun, Dr. Nazira Banu, and Dr. Rajesh provided care, with Dr. Charan and Dr. Nimitha as Resident Medical Officers. Support was provided by Abiya (PRO), Umasree and Afra (Nursing Staff), Rakshitha (MRD), Sravya (Pharmacy), and two lab interns.The camp served 51 patients, offering free medicines and GRBs tests. Dr. Suresh Neglaguli visited the camp. Walkers and walking sticks were distributed in the camp.

Report-10 Medical Camp (Shalya Tantra and Shalakya Tantra Departments)

From June 24-29, 2024, Kanachur Ayurveda Medical College an Hospital hosted a specialized medical camp organized by the Shalya Tantra and Shalakya Tantra Departments. The camp focused on anorectal conditions and various types of headaches, offering free consultations and a 50% discount on medicines. Over 25 patients received care, with 11 consultations for Shalakya (ENT and Ophthalmology) and 14 for Shalya (Surgery). The event aimed to raise awareness about Ayurvedic treatments and preventive measures for common surgical and ENT issues.

Report-11 Medical Camp Uppinangadi , Mangalore

On June 7, 2024, a free medical camp was held at H.M Hall, Uppinangady, Mangalore, from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm. Dr. Zainudheen, Dr. Saleema, Dr. Rajesh, and Dr. Ashraf provided medical care, supported by Dr. Gayathri and Dr. Megavathi as Resident Medical Officers. Sahana and Akkamahadevi (Nursing Staff), Mouseetha (MRD), and Deeksha (Pharmacy) assisted the team. The camp served 85 patients, offering free GRBs tests. The event highlighted community engagement and the importance of accessible healthcare in Uppinangady.

Report-5 Medical Camp at Vamanjoor, Manglore

On May 13, 2024, a free medical camp was held at Shri Amrutheshwara Public School, Vamanjoor, Mangalore.From 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, Dr. Karthikeya Prasad, Dr. Aruna C Sekhar, and Dr. Zainudheen Ullal, supported by Dr. Gayathri Sajeevan and Dr. Charan, provided medical care to 14 patients. The camp, which included free Hb & GRBs tests, was supported by hospital staff and interns. Dr. Suresh Neglaguli visited the camp, and special recognition was given to the medical team for their dedication to community health. Report-6 Swarna Prashana

On May 13, 2024, Kanachur Ayurveda Hospital began offering Swarna Prashana under the Kaumarabhrithya department. This esteemed practice, part of India's sixteen rites of passage, enhances cognitive function, improves digestion, and boosts overall health. In 2024, Swarna Prashana is scheduled for May 13, June 10, July 7, August 3, August 31, September 27, October 24, November 20, and December 18. The treatment sharpens the mind, strengthens the body, increases immunity, and promotes radiant skin and longevity, supporting mental and physical vitality from birth through sixteen years.

Report-7 Medical Camp at Carstreet kodaibail, Mangalore

On May 18-19, 2024, free medical camps were held at Halasu Habba Balam Bhat Hall, Car Street, Kodaibail, Mangalore, from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm each day.

May 18: Dr. Karthikeya Prasad, Dr. Dhanya, Dr. Anjali, and Dr. Rajesh provided care, with Dr. Charan as Resident Medical Officer. Staff included Drishya (PRO), BSC Nursing students, Rakshitha (MRD), and Shravya (Pharmacy). A total of 137 patients received care and free Hb & GRBs tests.

May 19: Dr. Karthikeya Prasad, Dr. Aruna C Sekhar, Dr. Keshavraj, and Dr. Arjun attended to patients, with Dr. Mainaz as Resident Medical Officer. Staff included Habeeb (PRO), BSC Nursing students, Rashika (MRD), and Saniya (Pharmacy). Report-3 Medical Camp for Home Guards at Konchady, Manglore

The Free Medical Camp held on April 4, 2024, from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm at Dakshin Kannada Home Guards in Mary Hill, Konchady, Mangalore, was a significant initiative aimed at providing healthcare services to the community. Under the leadership of Dr. Karthikeya Prasad, who served as the Program Incharge, a dedicated team of doctors including Dr.Anjali, Dr. Keshava Raj, and Dr. Suresh Neglaguli, along with the support of Hospital Staff, Alveera Pias (Nursing Staff), Mohammed Shakir (Lab Technician), Rashika (MRD), and Sania (Pharmacy), ensured the smooth execution of medical services. Dr. Gayathri Sajeevan efficiently managed the role of RMO, overseeing the operations. The camp served a total of 102 patients.

Report-4 Bone Mineral Density camp

On April 16, 2024, Kanachur Ayurveda Medical College and Hospital held a free medical camp offering Bone Mineral Density (BMD) testing.. The "free Bone Mineral density check-up camp is conducted on every month ,third Tuesday from 9:30 am to 1:00 pm in Kanachur Ayurveda Hospital. A team of dedicated doctors was assigned for the camp, including Dr. Keshava Raj B, Dr. Soumya Ashok, Dr. Zainuddeen, Dr. Saleema Banu M, Dr. Arjun, Dr. Aruna C Sekhar, Dr. Kripa and Dr. Anjali Sekhar.25 Patients were benefited in the first week of camp. The camp's message, "Bones are not stones. They naturally become weaker when one gets older." emphasizes the importance of early checkups to avoid the silent threat of osteoporosis. By offering accessible healthcare services, the camp strives to empower individuals to take proactive measures in maintaining healthy bones and preventing osteoporosis-related complications.

On March 3, 2024, a successful free medical camp was held at Sri Bharathi College, Nanthoor, Mangalore, from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM. The camp aimed to provide essential healthcare services to the local community and was attended by a total of 21 patients. The medical team, comprising Dr. Karthikey Prasad, Dr. Keshava Raj, Dr. Soumya Ashok, and Dr. Suresh Neglaguli, offered free medical consultations, GRBS tests , HB and BMD test.The event was well-received, highlighting the community’s need for accessible medical care.

Report-2 Medical Health Check-Up Camp for Women

Kanachur Ayurveda Medical College And Hospital organized a Free Medical Health Check-Up Camp for Women from 8th March 2024 to 15th March 2024. The camp aimed to provide free medical check-ups and consultations to women.
The camp was held at the hospital premises and was attended by 320 participants. A team of dedicated doctors was assigned for the camp, including Dr. Karthikeya Prasad, Dr. Suresh Negalaguli, Dr. Keshava Raj B, Dr. Soumya Ashok, Dr. Zainuddeen, Dr. Saleema Banu M, Dr. Rajesh Chandran P, Dr. Aruna C Sekhar and Dr. Anjali Sekhar
The doctors provided personalized care and attention to each participant, ensuring a thorough health assessment. The camp offered a range of medical services, including general health check- ups and screenings for common health issues affecting women.

The program commenced at 9:00 am with an inaugural ceremony. The gathering was addressed by the chief guests, Mrs. Moly Saldanha, Principal, Kanachur Institute of Nursing Sciences, Dr. Haji U K Monu, Chairman, Kanachur Institute of Medical sciences and Mr. Abdul Rahiman, Director Kanachur Institute of Medical Sciences. Orientation program was conducted for newly joined nursing staff and Panchakarma therapist on 9th March 2024 Saturday. The objective of the program was to make them familiar with the Ayurveda terminologies used in both Ayurveda medications and treatment modalities. Dr. Sowmya Kumari has delivered a simple insightful presentation for the participants.

FREE MEDICAL CAMP FOR “DAKSHINA KANNADA HOME GUARDS” AT KONCHADY, MANGALORE

Free medical camp held on April 4 2024, from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm at “Dakshina Kannada Home Guards” in Mary Hill, Konchady, Mangalore. The program aimed to free medical service among the home guard officials including, medical check-up, consultation, free medicines and life style management advices. Under the leadership of Dr. Karthikeya Prasad Who served as the program incharge, a dedicated team of consultants including Dr. Anjaly, Dr. Keshava raj, Dr. Suresh Negalaguli and RMO Dr. Gayathir sajeevan, along with Alveera Pias(Nursing staff), Mohammed Shakir (Lab Technician), Rashika (MRD), and Saniya(Pharmacy), ensured the smooth execution of the medical service. The camp served total of 102 patients.

The inaugural ceremony of “Free Bone Mineral Density Check-up Camp” in association with “Medilab India Pvt. Limited” was held on 26th April 2024 in Kanachur Ayurveda Hospital at 9:30 AM. The camp was inaugurated by the chief guest Dr. Haji U K Monu, Chairman, Kanachur Institute of Medical sciences.
