Shalakyatantra is a branch of Ayurveda dealing with diseases situated above the neck region viz. Netrarogas (diseases of eye), Siroroga (headaches and scalp disorders), karna- nasa- mukha rogas (ear- nose -throat and oral cavity diseases). Netra roga of Shalakya OPD comes up with the treatment for refractive errors (myopia, hypermetropia etc.), Allergic conjunctivitis, Dry eyes, Stye and chalazion cysts, early stages of cataract etc. ENT department comes with treatment for various types of headaches (like migraine, sinusitis), diseases like CSOM, allergic rhinitis, tonsillitis, laryngitis, scalp problems (like dandruff, alopecia), halitosis, recurrent stomatitis, etc.
