The Decennial Lamp Lighting Ceremony of the 10th batch of nursing students was held at Kanachur College of Nursing Sciences, on 16th February 2026. The event marked a proud milestone in the lives of 250 budding nurses, symbolizing their readiness to embrace the values of dedication, dignity, and excellence in nursing. The Chief Guest of the ceremony was Dr. K. S Gangadhara Somayaji, Honourable Vice chancellor, Yenepoya Deemed to be University. The Guest of Honour was Dr. Santhosh Subhas Indi, Member of the Senate, RGUHS. The event was presided over by Dr. Haji U. K. Monu, Chairman, Kanachur Islamic Education Trust. The occasion was further graced by the esteemed presence of Dr. Venkatray Prabhu, Chairman, Kanchur Health Sciences Advisory Council, Dr. Shahnavas Manipady, Dean, Kanachur Institute of Medical Sciences, Dr. Anjan Kumar, Medical superintendent, Kanachur Hospital and Research centre, Dr. Rohan Monis, Chief Administrative Medical Officer and Mrs. Irene Saldanha, Nursing superintendent, Kanachur Hospital and research centre.
