AYURPRAVESHIKA - Inaugural Ceremony

🗓️December 04, 2025 📍 Kanachur Ayurveda Medical College and Hospital.

The Shishyopanayaneeya Saṁskāra & NABH Accreditation Awarding Ceremony was conducted with great reverence and formality at Kanachur Ayurveda Medical College & Hospital. The programme marked two significant milestones, Induction of the first batch of BAMS students through the traditional Shishyopanayaneeya Saṁskāra, Awarding of the prestigious NABH Accreditation to Kanachur Ayurveda Hospital. The event witnessed the presence of distinguished dignitaries, faculty members, parents, and the newly admitted students.
The ceremony began with a soulful invocation presented by Ms. Rahila and Ifana, followed by the Karnataka State Anthem.
Sri Abdul Rahiman, Director of Kanachur Institute of Medical Sciences, delivered the welcome address, presenting the college's vision and setting the tone for the day. Subsequent floral welcomes were offered to dignitaries by Dr. Karthikeya Prasad and Dr. Bhavya B.S. The inauguration was marked by watering the sacred Tulsi plant.
Dr. Vidhyaprabha R, Principal of KAMCH, addressed the gathering, emphasizing academic values, institutional goals, and the significance of this inaugural batch.
The core ritual of the event involved the tying of the sacred thread containing the Medhya herb Vacha. The inauguration was performed by Chief Guest Sri Sudheer Kumar Reddy, IPS.Students performed Dhanwantari Pushparchana before receiving the thread. Following the dignitaries, the teaching faculty completed the tying ceremony for all students. Students took the solemn Charaka Oath, administered by Mrs. Thridala, reaffirming commitment to compassion, ethics, and professional responsibility.
Sri Sudheer Kumar Reddy delivered an inspiring address focusing on discipline, dedication, and the importance of medical ethics for the budding Ayurveda professionals.
Sri Arjun S. Odeyar delivered the keynote address, sharing insights on healthcare education, governance, and the role of Ayurveda in modern healthcare systems.
Dr.Ifthikar Fareed spoke on healthcare standards, interdisciplinary growth, and the responsibilities of the newly inducted students.
Dr. Haji U. K. Monu delivered the Presidential Address, focusing on institutional vision, commitment to excellence, and the significance of NABH accreditation in elevating healthcare quality.
Dr. Suresh Negalaguli expressed gratitude to all dignitaries, guests, faculty members, staff, students, and parents for their participation and support.
The ceremony concluded with the National Anthem. The programme reflected the ethos of Kanachur Ayurveda Medical College—preserving heritage while advancing excellence.
