(BACHELOR OF AYURVEDA MEDICINE & SURGERY - BAMS)

Duration of B.A.M.S. Programme

The duration of the B.A.M.S. Programme shall be five years and six months.

Course of the B.A.M.S. Programme

  • First Professional B.A.M.S. - Eighteen Months
  • Second Professional B.A.M.S. - Eighteen Months
  • Third (Final) Professional B.A.M.S. - Eighteen Months
  • Compulsory Rotatory Internship - Twelve Months

Eligibility for Admission

The eligibility to seek admission in Bachelor of Ayurveda education shall be as under:

  • (a) The candidate shall have passed 10+2 or its equivalent examination from any recognised Board with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and have obtained minimum of fifty per cent marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology in the case of general category and forty per cent marks in the case of the Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes.
  • (b) No candidate shall be admitted to B.A.M.S Degree programme unless the candidate attained the age of seventeen years on or before the 31st December of the year of admission in the first year of the programme and not more than twenty-five years on the 31st December of the year of admission in the first year of the programme.
  • (c) In order to consider for admission to under-graduate programme for an academic year, it shall be necessary for a candidate to obtain minimum of marks at 50th percentile in the National Eligibility-cum- Entrance Test for undergraduate programme held for the said academic year.

Intake capacity of Bachelor of Ayurveda Medicine & Surgery (BAMS) course is 100 seats.
