An Awareness Programme on Substance Abuse and Cyber Crime was organised by Kanachur
Ayurveda Medical College and Hospital, Natekal, Mangaluru, on 29 January 2026 from 11:30
AM to 01:00 PM at the Kanachur Drome. The programme was conducted under the guidance
and patronage of Dr. Haji U.K. Monu, Chairman, KIET, and Mr. Abdul Rahiman, Director,
KIET. The programme commenced with an invocation and the state song.
The welcome address
was delivered by Dr. Vidhyaprabha R, Principal, KAMCH, who emphasized the importance of
creating awareness among students regarding substance abuse and cyber crime. A token of
appreciation was presented in honor of the Chief Guest, Miss Vijayakranti, ACP, Mangalore
South. The awareness session that followed provided comprehensive insights into the causes,
legal implications, and preventive measures related to substance abuse and cyber crime, thereby
promoting responsible behaviour and informed decision-making among students. The
programme concluded with a formal vote of Thanks, followed by the National Anthem.
